The Electorate of Vulgaria Responds to the Grand Duchy of Stollen

http://emperor-elector.blogspot.com/2007/05/to-duchy-of-mieczyslaw-and-electorate.html

Hans Karl von Wilkowiczeske,

The Electorate of Vulgaria welcomes the exchange of Ambassadors during these times of turmoil. There appears to be a major movement toward crises in the West that is at best confounding and absolutely perplexing. It is at times like these that civilized Nations should become friends!

Vulgaria is willing to extend the hand of friendship with two caveats; As the Empires of Maria-Theresa and Elizabeth march so marches the Army of Vulgaria, Betrayals of our friendship will be considered an act of war and will be retaliated against most severely.

I await your response in earnest anticipation of a new friendship with all that it conveys.

Byr Levrenti Beria
CoD

For the Elector Vleg Donislov I of Vulgaria

Indirectly related to this post, viz. the reference to a common border between Vulgaria & Alzheim.
Alzheim in "Europa Rex v1" : is it divergent strabism from me , or is Alzheim blessed with the gift of ubiquity? I see it both on the mediterranean coast –somewhere near Nice and Monaco (fair weather and princesses to marry, here), and in north-eastern Europe, close to semi-polish Mieczyslaw and ultra-Eastern-Orthodox (at least, ultra-something) Vulgaria (weather: brrrrr….). Now it was common for a given ruler’s real estates to be scattered across the whole Holly Empire, and I perfectly understand that the Alzheim ruling family prefers to pass the bad season close to the Mediteranean. Some hints from the Duke himself suggest that Alzheim (the heart of it, at least) , despite its saxon name imported by the ruling family, hovers somewhere on the south-eastern borders of France – but seemingly NOT as a coastal power (southern Alps, nortwestern Piedmont/Milanese ?). This would imply that (fleeing the Turks invasions ?) some ultra-eastern-orthodox Slavs had moved more westward than in our timeline, so that Vulgaria is actually somewhere north of the Serenissime Mercantile Oligarchic Republic of Zenicce ?

I understand the division of Alzheim was conscious from the start. But do both Alzheim need to be contemporary?
I mean, such division is a form of hindrance, a special source of liability/ vulnerability for the Duchy? Could not (Alt)Alzheim the origin of the ruling line, no longer in its possession, the actual contemporary Duchy of (Neu)Alzhiem being somewhers between Gallia and the Italians States (but, seemingly, with no access to the sea). Rather close & similar to Noverre, though the later appears somewhat more backward and isolated inland....

Alzheim belongs to Greg Horne and it's local, including the Italian State, is dictated by him not I. As to Vulgaria it is where I have placed it.

If you have acces to Visio I'll gladly forward you the map to do with it what you will.

regards.
